Bienvenidos!

Hi,

You must be special if you are reading this post. :) I chose you to follow me on my five week (June 30-August 3) trip to Spain. Well actually, a couple of people just demanded a way to track me, because I will not make any phone calls to the USA. I will also not do something else that will probably aggravate a few people...not write in English (except for something special)

Since this is supposed to be a total immersion program, I will only write in Spanish. I will not be able to improve my Spanish if I am constantly writing in English. If you want to read about my experience, use wordreference.com, or go here (http://translate.google.com/#) to get a superficial translation. Google translator will help you understand the basic concept. If you want a deeper meaning and some entertainment on the side, find a spanish-speaking friend or coworker who can translate for you and make fun of my broken spanish.

You can comment as much as you like; however, your comments must be in Spanish. (Google translator can do that for you) As a piece of paper on the door of Dr. Hoyos says, "Monolinguilism can be cured." That is, if you only know English. I promise that when I come back, you can atleast say "Vale" to me. Just ask CD, The most popular Costa Rican greeting ,"Pura vida", is stamped in his head. (And everyone who leaves me a voice mail, especially Dr. Sandarg who calls me "Pura vida)

And to add to the fun, I just came up with something spectacular. Once a week, I will post a riddle in Spanish. If you are the first to answer correctly, I will bring you back the the item pictured above the riddle. Even if no one answers, I will have atleast practiced my spanish.

I hope you have fun. I certainly will. Pura Vida!
